Arithmetic Errors Nix Guinness Attempt
Errors in simple
arithmetic got in the way of an attempt to get into the record books.
George Hood spent
85 hours riding a stationary bike in January, riding the equivalent of about
1,080 miles, and thought he had bested the existing record of 82.
However, Guinness
World Records officials invalidated Hood's entry because of record-keeping
errors.
About 40 volunteers took turns logging Hood's efforts, but they made addition and subtraction mistakes and had trouble reading a 24-hour clock, Guinness officials said.
It took 40 people to log an 85 hour job?? Thank God for unions, huh! WHAP!
The entry contained
"fundamental flaws," said Guinness records manager Scott Christie.
"I'm more frustrated, not disappointed," said Hood, 49, a supervisor with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Even without the record, his ride raised nearly $30,000 for a group that
helps families of police officers killed on duty.
How much of that will Uncle Sam try and get its hands on?
I hate our
government - as it is now. We need to take it back, but that is a subject

Police: Driver Opens Fire On Family After Stopping At Changing Red Light
A motorist in Orange County, Fla., opened fire and narrowly missed shooting a 2-year-old in a car seat after his mother did not run a changing red light as she approached an intersection, according to deputies.
Investigators said a woman and her child were driving at Pine Hills Road and Beggs Avenue Saturday when a light at the intersection changed.
The woman did not run the light and stopped.
"She stopped for a red light and apparently for the person behind her, that wasn't good enough," Orange County sheriff's Sgt. Shawn Callaghan said. "The person went around her and fired one round into her truck."
The bullet flew through the window, over the child's car seat and out another vehicle window, officers said.
Deputies said the shooter was described as a black man who was driving a dark blue car, possibly a Pontiac.
A black man with a bad temper and a firearm, imagine that??? Who would have thunk??
The woman told Local 6 that she was horrified and did not want to talk about the incident until the driver who shot at her was captured.
Let me put the truth to that, she doesn't want to talk until she sees a money hungry, bottom feeding attorney.
